Change setup parameters
· Click on the Communication file tab
· If the connected encoder has been correctly identified, then the right unit will automatically be displayed and the relevant parameters set. However it may again be necessary to change the interface or the address of the connected device.
For encoders having the order code 3001 at the end (example: 8.5882.1231.3001) then the RS485 interface is to be enabled.
· SSI -> Standard SSI interface
· RS485 half-duplex interface with unit addressing
· With RS485 a unit must be assigned a unique address
Clicking on the <Accept Values> button results in the changed data being taken over into the memory, so that all the subsequent parameters may be updated. The window is n o t closed.
The <OK> button has the same function as <Accept Values>, but in addition the window is closed.
<Cancel> undoes entries and closes the window.
