With the SMGX (Slotted Microwave Guide Xtreme) data communication system, VAHLE has adapted the proven SMGM system for outdoor use.
SLOTTED MICROWAVE GUIDE MINI (SMGM) (EN)
The SMGM (Slotted Microwave Guide Mini) data communication system, which has been specially developed for these applications and environments, enables the integration of absolutely uninterrupted data transmission. It is also specifically designed to meet the growing demands of Industry 4.0. Communication takes place in a protected aluminium profile, the so-called. slotted microwave line, so there is no need to consider any interference or impact on other communication systems in the vicinity.
The plug and play solution can be easily integrated into all common EMS profiles and systems without extensive configurations due to its compact design.
POWERCOM 485
With the POWERCOM 485, VAHLE has a proven system in its product range for data communication via wires and contact lines. Its modem has an RS485 interface that is specifically designed for the PROFIBUS according to IEC 61158.
POWERCOM 485 provides interference-free communication with a maximum of 64 nodes per segment for system lengths of up to five kilometers. It is compatible with almost all common VAHLE cable systems and convinces with its easy installation.
