APOS
APOS positioning systems with installed VAHLE guides have been developed for automated conveying systems to facilitate material flow.
VAHLE APOS consists of a magnetic length encoding tape and a reading head with integrated logic, which sends the read position via an interface to a central PLC.
APOS Optic
In material handling applications such as automotive production, the new assembly lines require precise positioning of the conveyor technology without gaps during the entire processing cycle. For these tasks, the APOS Optic optical and absolute measuring positioning system is suitable.
The read heads are equipped with integrated LED lighting and two cameras that detect up to six DataMatrix code fields, with only one evaluable code field required to determine the location. This allows absolute position detection with a maximum range of up to 10,000 meters, without the need for reference movement after re-energizing.
